What is GrowHut's Verna?
GrowHut's Verna is a complete gardening companion for iOS. Track every plant in your garden, manage seed trays, follow a smart watering schedule driven by local weather, identify plants and diseases from photos, design garden borders, and watch your garden's progress month by month.
Is my data private?
No account is required. Optional cloud backup uses an app-generated identifier. Some features process information through external services, including weather and plant identification. Read the privacy policy for the information involved and your choices.
Do I need an account?
No account or login is required. Open the app and start gardening - everything is anonymous by default.
How does the weather forecast work?
With your permission, Verna uses your location to request a local forecast from its weather provider. You can also set a garden location manually. The forecast helps inform watering suggestions; the privacy policy explains location processing.
How does plant identification work?
Take or pick a photo and Verna asks PlantNet and Kindwise to identify the species or diagnose disease. Only the photo is sent to those services - no personal data.
How do the seed trays work?
Add a virtual tray for each windowsill or propagator, then add seeds to each cell. Verna tracks germination days, growth stage, and lets you transfer seedlings into your garden when they're ready.
What is the Border Designer?
The Border Designer is a sketch tool for planning garden beds. Drop shapes onto a canvas, recolour with curated palettes (Warm Sunset, Cottage, Cool Meadow, Moody, Spring, and more), and visualise how your planting will look before you dig.
Which devices does Verna support?
Verna supports iPhone and iPad with iOS 18.0 or iPadOS 18.0 or later. Check the App Store listing for the latest compatibility information.
How much does GrowHut's Verna cost?
Verna requires a Premium subscription with monthly and annual options. Apple shows your local price and any eligible free trial before purchase. Manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple account settings.
How do I delete my data?
From Settings, tap 'Reset All Data' to wipe your garden, seed trays, and tracker log. Deleting the app also removes everything stored locally; the anonymous sync record on our servers expires automatically and contains no personal information.
