Padmaja Venkatesan
Padmaja Venkatesan is the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Amzu. Since co-founding the company, she has led its corporate strategy and technology vision, overseeing the development of AI-powered health technologies, cloud solutions, and intelligent consumer applications.
She leads Amzu’s AI health-tech division and has driven the creation of products including ZenWalk, HerFit, and Verna, the company’s gardening platform designed to help gardeners plan, track, and celebrate their gardens. Padmaja is a qualified physiotherapist and UCL alumna whose work bridges healthcare, artificial intelligence, and consumer technology.
She now leads the development of GreatMemory, Amzu’s enterprise vector-memory platform for RAG.
Venkatesh Balakumar
Venkatesh Balakumar is the Chief Technology Officer and a Founding Director of Amzu. Since co-founding the company, he has shaped its engineering culture and technical direction, architecting the AI and cloud platforms behind Amzu’s products and turning ambitious ideas into resilient, production-ready systems.
An alumnus of Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford, Venkatesh pairs deep engineering craft with a strategic view of how technology creates value. An AI and cloud expert who stays hands-on with the latest tools and frameworks, he advises startups and enterprises on building and scaling their platforms. A lifelong learner driven by relentless curiosity, he believes the best systems are built by people who never stop experimenting.
