HerFit ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how HerFit handles information when you use our mobile application. We believe your fitness journey is personal, and your data should remain private.

Information We Collect

HerFit is designed with privacy as a core principle. The app:

• Does not require an account or login
• Does not collect personal data
• Does not track your location
• Does not access your contacts, photos, or other personal information
• Does not use analytics or tracking services
• Does not contain advertisements
• Does not share any data with third parties
• Does not transmit any data over the internet

Data Stored Locally

HerFit stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Your workout sets (exercise name, weight, reps, timestamp)
• Your body weight history
• Your water intake for the current day
• User preferences (unit system, height, birth year, water goal)
• Custom exercises you create

This data is stored using iOS's SwiftData framework and never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to any server or third party. Your data stays on your device and under your complete control.

HealthKit Integration

HerFit integrates with Apple HealthKit to read the following data (with your explicit permission):

• Step count (to display your daily steps)

This HealthKit data is read with your explicit permission and is only displayed within the app. It is not stored permanently, transmitted, or shared with any third parties. You can revoke HealthKit permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security > Health > HerFit.

Third-Party Services

HerFit does not use any third-party services, analytics tools, crash reporters, or advertising networks. The app operates entirely offline and does not make any network requests. Your fitness data stays completely private.

Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device, it is protected by your device's built-in security features including:

• iOS device encryption
• Face ID / Touch ID protection
• Device passcode protection

We do not have access to your data, and there is no server to be breached. Your data is as secure as your device.

Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it. You can delete all app data at any time by:

• Deleting the app from your device (this permanently removes all data)
• Using the "Reset All Data" option in the app settings

When you delete the app or reset data, all your fitness records are permanently and irrecoverably erased. There are no backups on our servers because we don't have any servers.

Children's Privacy

HerFit does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The app is suitable for users of all ages as it contains no data collection, no social features, and no in-app purchases.

App Store & Apple

HerFit is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect certain information as described in their privacy policy. This is separate from HerFit and outside of our control. Please refer to Apple's privacy policy for more information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Our commitment to privacy-first design will not change.
